The EDE707 Octal Seven-Segment LED Display Decoder IC is a 5 volt, 28 pin device designed to control up to eight 7-segment LED displays simultaneously. Working with both common-anode and common-cathode displays, the EDE707 incorporates features such as a full Hexadecimal character set (0123456789AbCdEF), built-in counter functionality, leading zero blanking, display blanking, increment & decrement commands, and digit-selectable loading. Data is written to the EDE707 via a 4-bit bus and a latch signal.
The EDE747 next-generation seven segment display driver translates a 4-bit input into 0-9,A-F outputs and directly drives segments. Built-in counter functionality provides up/down counting as well as under/overflow flags for cascadign to make larger counters. An extended character set (64 characters in all) provides upper/lowercase alphabet symbols.
