    EDEFT629 - Switch Detection Chip
    The FT629 Switch Input Chip will detect a change on any of its five input pins and send one byte out its Tx pin. This byte's lower five bits correspond to the input on the 5 input pins.

    The FT629 was designed specifically to aid in the making of a Robot using a portable electronic device that has a serial port (HP48, Palm Pilot, any other palm device, PC, Mac, etc.) The FT629 works with the FT639 as follows: The FT639 controls the servos and is on the Transmit Line, while the FT629 allows feedback through switches and is on the Receive Line.

    FT629 features: Receive feedback from five switches Feedback received through a 2400 baud serial line Eight pin count chip No external components needed for 0-5V serial line
