Battery Charge Time Variable Efficiency Calculator
How To Use
Designed to calculate the maximum battery charge time for any given chargable battery, based on the entered information. The calculator will calculate the time after you enter the battery rating capacity, charge rate and the efficiency of the charging system, including the battery. The normally accepted standard for efficiency loss is 20%. Although smaller loss factors up to and including no loss are virtually impossible, we have allowed the potential for reasons of understanding. 30% and 40% are far more likely than 10%. If loss is above 40%, you need to attempt to find the reason by changing the charger or replacing the battery. Typical entries for our calculator might be a 1000mAh rating and 50mA of charge current. That would yield a realistic charge time of 24 hours. Click on Calculate after entering the two values.
